WELCOME TO THE BROTHERHOOD

La Fratellanza: the brotherhood (Italian). An association, society, or community of people linked by a common interest or trade.

The brotherhood behind La Fratellanza cigars is a group of guys who have known each other for nearly four decades, and loved cigars for even longer. We met at Rutgers University in the late 1980’s when we were all part of a group that founded a chapter of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity at the school.

Fraternity is, of course, the Greek word for “brotherhood.” And that is the purpose of fraternities, to unite a group of young men and create a brotherhood. In our case, we were fortunate in that it truly worked. We bonded and became brothers while at Rutgers, and more than a dozen of us remain close to this day, almost 40 years later. Through the years, we have shared all of life’s milestones and had each other’s backs through its joys and its hardships, as brothers do. We get together numerous times during the year, be it our annual pre-Thanksgiving trip to the legendary McSorley's Ale House in New York City (a tradition uninterrupted since 1989), or birthdays, summer gatherings, and now even our children's graduations and weddings. Whenever we get together, we try to make time to sit and relax, to share stories, brotherhood and a good cigar.

More than anyone else, La Fratellanza is the brain child of our brother Gian Russo. For years we’ve talked, over cigars, about starting our own cigar brand, but Gian always knew it was going to happen. He spearheaded the effort to turn La Fratellanza from a dream to a reality, and we thank him for that.

To everyone else, we extend the invitation: come join the brotherhood and try La Fratellanza cigars. We promise you cigars of the highest quality, hand-rolled with the finest tobaccos for unique, robust flavors and a smooth, highly-enjoyable smoking experience. And whenever possible, we recommend you share that experience with the people who are important to you. For THAT is the true spirit of La Fratellanza.
